Emerging Renewables Program—Measures
Note: On 08 March 2013, the Emerging Renewables Program updated its technology priorities. These updates are included in Attachment B of the Emerging Renewables Program Information Guide.
About Emerging Renewables Program Measures
Funding for Measures is one of two categories of funding offered under the Emerging Renewables Program.
Measures funding provides grants for one of the following:
- Renewable energy industry capacity building activities.
- Renewable energy industry development activities.
- Preparatory activities for Projects.
How to apply for Measures funding
The application process for funding for a Measure involves one phase.
To submit an application, applicants must complete and submit the Measure Application Form (see Related documents).
Prior to completing and submitting the form, applicants should:

ensure they understand the requirements of the program by carefully reading the Emerging Renewables Program—Information Guide (see Related documents) and following the instructions. Applicants should consider whether they meet the eligibility criteria and the likelihood of their application being assessed against the merit criteria to a high standard

read the relevant Measure Funding agreement template (see Related documents). Applicants will be required to acknowledge in submission that they have read the relevant Measure Funding Agreement template and agree with the general conditions

contact the Emerging Renewables Program team (using the contact details listed at the bottom of this web page) to discuss their proposed Measure.
How to complete and lodge a Measure Application
To complete and lodge a Measure application form, applicants should:
-
download the Measure application form (see Related documents)
-
complete all sections of the application form (please observe word limits and use plain English, with clear, factual and concise responses)
-
prepare any evidence or supporting documents referred to in the Information guide—including a project plan and commercialisation strategy (if applicable)
-
complete the Emerging Renewables Budget and Funding Sources template (see Related documents)
-
either complete the Emerging Renewables Risk Management Plan template (see Related documents) or else provide an alternative risk management plan, as determined appropriate by the applicant
-
complete the Emerging Renewables Funding Agreement Compliance Table (see Related documents)
-
complete the Emerging Renewables Knowledge Sharing Plan (see Related documents)
-
submit the Application via email following the instructions at the bottom of the Measures Application form. Attach any evidence, supporting documents and the completed templates listed above to this email.
Of note, applicants are also able to provide any other documentation they consider relevant in support of their Measure funding application.
