About ARENA's projects and initiatives
ARENA administers approximately $3 billion in Government support for renewable energy technology drawn from initiatives previously administered by the Australian Centre for Renewable Energy, the Australian Solar Institute (ASI) and the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism. Of ARENA's funding, approximately $1.5 billion is committed to projects and measures that have or will become the responsibility of ARENA.
